Parent-run 'free schools' open across England
"Do it yourself" philosophy has come to education. If you are brave enough, you could be able to create your own school in Uk. As in Ikea, you will be given some pupils and money for each you educate: but you will be responsible of the success of the school, and what is more weird, nobody will oversee your work.
This is likely as the nuclear energy discovery: it is not positive or negative, it depends on how is used.
I recognize it would be fantastic if the supporters-teachers are smart enough, open-minded enough, or teacher enough to develop such a singular school.
On the other hand, everone could become a teacher, or consider themself as one, and recieve the money for the education of the pupils. It might increase the sectarism.
Finally, parents have the right to choose. The State, in this case, has nothing to say. Just pay.

It isn't the first time that I have heart something about this new way of education. I think can be possitive for both parts. Think about the small villages where there are few people living there. If a mother or father can teach to their children can be wonderful. They can learn a lot of things. What do you think about it?
ResponderEliminarYou are right. This kind of school have been working in Sweden for many years. But, Sweden is a developed country where people are responsible enought to tackle this target.
ResponderEliminarUk is starting now. I understand your point of view, and if it works, it will be fantastic. But if it isn't, it can be damageful for equity in school.
I can't imagine this in Spain... But, finally, it is just a smaller "colegio concertado".
