Monkey Thieves

All you know August is not a good time to watch TV. BUT there is a great exception: "Monkey Thieves".

It is a mixture between a documental and a soap-opera, starred by a group of Monkeys. This is the plot:

Even Jaipur's monkeys are affected by the global credit crunch. As money becomes tight for the human residents of Jaipur, free handouts to the temple monkeys become ever more scarce. This situation is exacerbated by the fact that the Galta Gang (the monkeys group) has been so successful that their numbers have burgeoned to over one hundred individuals. When this happens, macaque troops undergo a process called fission: the group splits into two. This is because the territory can no longer support such a massive troop.

The matrilineal lines are sustained in the top half mother troop, but in the splinter group we see a big change in structure as previously middle-rankers like Bippin, Yash and Tito are suddenly accelerated to the heady heights of leadership potential.

Follow the Jaipur monkeys as the groups are forced to divide, friendships challenged and the hard times felt by all in Monkey Thieves.

I am not a poet. I do not like being called an "activist" because it takes away from those that are out on the streets protesting and fighting for our rights.

I am not a poet. I would most likely give my ass up in prison before trying to save it with poetry . . . and I’d like it! Heck, I’d probably be inspired.

Housework? really?

How to Spice Up a Relationship: Get Your Hubby to Do Chores!

My husband complains that we don't have sex often enough, but I'm rarely in the mood. It's probably because I'm always so tired from trying to keep up with the housework he doesn't help with! How can we spice up our relationship and find balance?

Marriage researcher John Gottman has found that men who do more housework have wives who are much more interested in sex. Whenever I cite that study, men are always very surprised by the connection between housework and sex … and women aren't surprised at all.


When men do housework, their wives feel more cared about and there's a greater sense of partnership. For women, sexual energy is very closely tied to the sense of partnership they feel with their husbands or boyfriends and how tired they are and resentful they are. A woman who feels her husband is helping out and doing his fair share is going to be much more interested in him sexually. So if a man is looking to spice up a relationship and have more sex, he should bust out the mop!


Sometimes it's useful for women to point that out. Tell your husband, "Having you do housework is a turn on for me." See if it doesn't help you both get more of what you want.

Dancing Queen: a royal begining

"Dancing Queen" is a pop song recorded by Swedish pop group ABBA. It was released in August 1976, but was first performed two months earlier, on 18 June 1976, during a Royal Variety Show in Stockholm the evening before the Swedish royal wedding. It was the follow-up single to the hit "Fernando" and is commonly regarded as one of the most successful singles of the 1970s. "Dancing Queen" was written by Benny Andersson, Björn Ulvaeus, and Stig Anderson and is considered by many to be ABBA's signature song, as it reached the number 1 position on popular music charts in 13 countries. Recorded in 1975, it was released on the group's album Arrival the following year and as a single with "That's Me" as the B-side.
